Omarchy
Omarchy is an opinionated Arch configuration built using the Hyprland tiling window manager. It ships with what a modern software developer would need to be productive, has preinstalled integration for AI agents to manage the system.
About Omarchy
Omarchy in a nutshell is an install script + dotfiles + Quickshell shell built on top of Arch Linux using Hyprland as its window manager. It doesn't have its own package repos like other distros do, however has a custom desktop shell, layered on top of standard Arch base. The system is pre-configured with a number of tools out of the box: terminal (foot), editor (neovim) and common developing tooling. It removes much of the manual Arch setup typically required after an Arch install. The latest version also introduced AI agent integration for system maintenance: when a process crashes, Omarchy can hand the crash data to a connected AI agent to help diagnose the issue and, with user approval, report confirmed bugs upstream. Created by David Heinemeier Hansson (DHH) of Basecamp/37signals, Omarchy is updated via omarchy-update and installed either fresh via ISO or layered onto an existing Arch system.
